When ideas have sex

About this talk: At TEDGlobal 2010, author Matt Ridley shows how, throughout history, the engine of human progress has been the meeting and mating of ideas to make new ideas. It’s not important how clever individuals are, he says; what really matters is how smart the collective brain is.

The talk has led to a debate on copyright. Both sides are reasonable. I do not like the acceptance of copyright laws without questioning them. And I do not think that we always have to obey them. In some certain games, we need to respect them, but in others, it’s not a must to do so.
